CCTV Camera Schedule

Coverage uses the pinhole lens model and IEC 62676-4 DORI pixel densities, on flat ground, ignoring walls and obstructions. Camera library values are typical; edit them to match your datasheets. How to use the CCTV Map Designer

For car parks, perimeters, compounds and streets, a drawing is often not available. The CCTV Map Designer lets you plan cameras directly on a satellite map, with field-of-view cones you can aim and resize, so you can show the client a clear coverage plan from day one.

Step by step

  1. Search for the site address or move the map to the location.
  2. Add a camera and drag it to the pole or wall position.
  3. Set the direction, field of view and range.
  4. Repeat for every camera and label them.
  5. Export or print the plan for the survey report or proposal.

Worked example

For a car park perimeter, place bullet cameras on light poles every 40 to 60 m, aim them along the fence, and add a camera at the gate for number plate capture.
